Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated Cover Manager in Gerrards Cross to oversee daily cover for planned and unexpected staff absences. This full-time role concentrates on smooth lesson continuity, staff coordination, and safeguarding compliance.

You will organise timetables, assign cover staff, prepare lesson materials, and liaise with leadership to maintain high standards of student engagement throughout the school day. Oct 2026 start date with 5 Oct closing date for applications.

• Communicate cover plans clearly to all staff and leadership team.
• Monitor staff availability and source suitable cover resources.
• Provide lesson plans, resources, registers, and information to staff.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure suitable work for covered lessons.
• Keep records of staff absence and changes to cover arrangements.
• Support safeguarding policies and school operations.
