Job summary

Hampton Gardens School in Peterborough is seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor to maintain continuity of learning during teacher absences. You will supervise classes, support students, and contribute to the smooth running of the school day.

The role requires strong communication, confidence with groups of students, and a proactive approach. 32.5 hours per week during term time, with attendance at mandatory training.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage groups of students.
• Willingness to undertake first aid and CPD training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during short-term teacher absence and follow pre-set work.
• Support individual students and small groups to access learning.
• Record attendance and behaviour using Bromcom.
• Provide feedback to teachers on student engagement and progress.
• Invigilate exams and assist with resource preparation.
