Job summary

Exhall Grange Specialist School in England is a 4–19 institution dedicated to meeting the needs of pupils with a range of difficulties, providing a nurturing environment and a broad curriculum.

The school is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to lead a team of 8 cleaners, manage rotas, ensure safety and COSHH compliance, and handle supplies and quality checks. Hours are 15:00–20:00, Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week during term-time, plus 10 extra days in holidays.

Qualifications

• Basic literacy and numeracy to read and follow instructions.
• Ability to supervise and demonstrate to staff.
• Previous cleaning experience.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use materials.
• Read and follow procedures; read labels.
• Understand COSHH regulations and safety.
• Communicate with colleagues and staff.
• Prepared to undertake necessary training.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a dedicated team of cleaners (8 staff).
• Ensure health and safety compliance and COSHH regulations.
• Inventory and ordering of cleaning products; equipment maintenance.
• Carry out quality checks to maintain high standards.
