Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef Manager for Thatcham Park Primary School in Thatcham. This term-time role offers 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with no weekends, and a pay rate of £16 per hour.

You will oversee food preparation, ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety compliance, manage day-to-day operations, supervise staff, and act as the main liaison with the school client to drive service quality and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a catering team in a school environment.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations.
• Strong financial acumen including budgets and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental compliance.
• Maintain Caterlink's reputation for quality service with clients and customers.
• Oversee day-to-day running of the location and supervise staff.
• Be the main point of contact for the school client and implement improvements.
• Monitor KPIs and financial targets and report to line manager.
