Job summary

Caterlink is seeking a Chef Manager at The Firs to ensure nutritionally balanced, tasty meals for pupils and staff. The role is term-time only with no weekends, offering flexibility and school-based leadership.

You will lead kitchen operations, supervise staff, manage inventories and budgets, and drive food quality and safety in line with Caterlink policies. DBS enhanced disclosure is required and professional development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

To prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
Supervise location, manage inventories, budgets and action plans.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

Prepare, cook and present food to standards required by Caterlink and the client.
Ensure location meets statutory and company Health, Safety and Food Safety requirements.
Maintain Caterlink's reputation for excellent food and service with client and customers.
Oversee day-to-day running of location and supervise teams, including inventories and budgets.
Be the main client contact in school, implementing improvements.
Monitor KPIs and financial targets with line manager.
Train and develop teams, ensure training completion and performance management.
