Job summary

Caterlink is seeking a Catering Manager for Mountfield's Lodge in Loughborough. This term-time only role (30 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 190 days/year) focuses on delivering nutritionally balanced and tasty meals in a school setting.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, supervise teams, manage inventories and budgets, and act as the main client contact, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure the location meets Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislations and procedures.
• Lead day-to-day operation, supervise teams, manage inventories, monitor budgets, and implement action plans.
• Be the main client contact in the school to drive improvements and adjustments.
• Regularly communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets.
• Train teams and manage performance to ensure everyone excels in their role.
