The Catch-Up Academy is seeking an In-Person Tutor to support students with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs. You will deliver 1:1 tuition during school hours, typically 9:00 to 15:00, in homes or community settings, helping students re-engage with learning.

This role offers flexible, term-time work and the chance to build trust, track progress, and collaborate with families and schools. Experience in tutoring or teaching children is ideal; Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring or teaching children, especially with SEN/SEMH or behavioural needs.
• Ability to work independently with a flexible timetable.
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
• DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one; safeguarding knowledge essential.
• A driving licence and access to transport for travel to student locations (where required).

Responsabilités

• Deliver 1:1 tuition sessions during school hours (typically 9:00–15:00).
• Work with students who are out of school, often in homes or community settings.
• Support learners across English, Maths, Science with personalised teaching methods.
• Focus on rebuilding trust and engagement with learning, not just academics.
• Communicate with parents/carers, schools, and support professionals to track progress.
• Log student outcomes and feedback to support each learner’s journey.
