Job summary

3 Sixty Resourcing seeks a Tendering Engineer to own the full bid life cycle in the Nottingham/Derby area. You will coordinate inputs from engineering, sales and management to deliver structured, compliant proposals on time.

You will lead a growing team, shape bid processes, and implement improvements while maintaining high-quality, persuasive content for clients. This full-time role offers a clear career path and on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Bid Writer, Proposal Writer, Bid Manager or Tendering Engineer.
  • Engineering background in automation, PLC, SCADA, HMI is ideal.
  • Excellent written English with strong editing and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to interpret information and translate it into client-facing content.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full bid process from opportunity review to final submission.
  • Analyse tender documents, ITTs, PQQs, and client requirements for compliance.
  • Write clear, structured, and persuasive bid responses aligned to evaluation criteria.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales and management to gather inputs.
  • Edit and quality-check all bid content for clarity and accuracy.
  • Produce executive summaries, methodologies and value propositions.
  • Track deadlines, coordinate internal reviews and approvals.
  • Support post-submission clarifications and lessons-learned reviews.

What you'll need…
  • Proven experience as a Bid Writer, Proposal Writer, Bid Manager or Tendering Engineer
  • Background in engineering, automation, PLC, SCADA, HMI Ideal
  • Excellent written English with strong editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to interpret information and translate it into client-focused content
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids concurrently
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Office applications
  • Experience with tenders or similar frameworks
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
