£60,000 - £70,000 DOE + Car Allowance + Free Parking + Progression + 25 Days Holiday + Mileage / Fuel Expenses + Progression

Central Bristol (parking included)

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager to join a growing design and build contractor in a newly created role, taking ownership of the tender process, supporting business development, and helping secure long-term framework agreements.

Do you have experience managing construction tenders from initial review through to submission? Are you confident writing bids and developing tender programmes? Do you have pre-construction experience and want to play a key role in the future growth of a business?

This established design and build contractor delivers projects across the UK, specialising in refurbishment and fit-out, particularly within student accommodation. With projects ranging from £500,000 to £1.5 million, they are now looking to diversify their client base and expand further into the wider construction market.

The role will combine bid management and business development, with responsibility for breaking down tenders, understanding client requirements, developing project methodologies and programmes, and writing high-quality bids. You will also identify new business opportunities, build relationships with potential clients, and support the company's growth into new sectors and the wider construction market.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a construction bid, pre-construction, or project management environment. You will be confident writing bids, understanding construction methodologies, and coordinating information from multiple stakeholders. Framework experience would be highly beneficial.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing contractor where you will have autonomy and play a key role in securing new work and establishing long-term client relationships.

The Role:
  • Leading tenders from initial enquiry through to submission
  • Analysing requirements and responding to client queries
  • Writing methodologies, programmes, and compliance submissions
  • Reviewing designs, logistics, and buildability
  • Coordinating information with commercial and project teams
  • Supporting business development and identifying new opportunities
The Person:
  • Experience in Bid Management, Pre-Construction, or Project Management within construction
  • Strong experience writing and managing construction tenders
  • Understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and logistics
  • Framework or public sector experience desirable
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proactive and commercially aware
