Job summary

Murphy is recruiting a Tender Planner to support Transportation projects from Golborne with some site travel. The role involves assimilating information, developing resourced programmes, contributing to risk analysis, and producing visual materials for planning methods.

Experience in pre-construction tender planning and network rail/major infrastructure work is desirable. The position offers exposure to commercial interfaces, bid reviews, and collaboration with estimators and supply chain

Qualifications

• Must have previous pre construction/tender planning experience.
• Experience on Network Rail schemes or major infrastructure projects desirable.
• Proficient with planning software: P6, Asta, TILOS, QSRA.
• Experience with a wide range of planning techniques for tendering and contract delivery.
• Understand commercial and contractual interfaces with planning.

Responsibilities

• Assimilate information and summarise it for work scope communication.
• Prepare a resourced programme and review conformance with expectations.
• Contribute to the risk register and perform risk analysis.
• Prepare visual material in support of planned methods.
• Define methods and outputs with estimator and team, including supply chain where needed.
• Provide the estimator with a justified schedule of temporary works and indirect costs.
• Attend bid reviews to articulate work scope and delivery approach.
• Advise project team on required feedback reports and support.

A day in the life of a Murphy Tender Planner:

• Assimilate information and summarise it in a manner that can be used to communicate the work scope to others.
• Prepare a resourced programme, including reviewing the outcome for conformance with expectations and requirements.
• Contribute to the risk register and undertake programme risk analysis.
• Prepare visual material in support of planned methods.
• Define methods and establish outputs, in consultation with the estimator and other team members, including the supply chain in appropriate circumstances.
• Provide the estimator with a justified schedule of temporary works and other indirect cost items.
• Attend the bid review meeting to contribute a clear view of the work scope and the intentions for delivering it by reference to prepared material.
• In consultation with Estimator advise project team of required feedback reports and support.
