Murphy is recruiting for a Planner to work within our Ground Engineering and Piling Business, supporting the Lower Thames Crossing from our JV office, in Tilbury.

Our engineering teams represent a multi-disciplined range of engineering skills, adding value across all our sectors, and pushing the boundaries of digital construction, engineering innovation and design to deliver intelligent, sustainable and economical engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience on Civil Engineering and/or Construction projects.
• Experience working on HV Power, Transmission & Distribution Projects.
• Proficiency with planning software such as P6, Asta, TILOS, QSRA.
• Experience with tendering and contract delivery planning.
• Understanding of project controls and how to create visuals.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with project teams.
• Prepare a resourced programme and ensure conformance with requirements.
• Contribute to the risk register and perform risk analysis.
• Prepare visuals to support planned methods.
• Manage project documentation in an orderly fashion.
• Support the team as advisor on contractual planning matters.
• Train project teams to read and use the programme.
• Set up and maintain project controls to evaluate status and flag challenges.
• Handle multiple projects and submissions with attention to detail.

A Day In The Life Of a Murphy Planner

• Establish and maintain the relationship with project teams
• Assimilate information and summarise it in a manner that can be used to communicate the work scope to others.
• Prepare a resourced programme, including reviewing the outcome for conformance with expectations and requirements.
• Contribute to the risk register and undertake programme risk analysis.
• Prepare visual material in support of planned methods.
• Manage personally controlled project documentation in an orderly fashion.
• Support the team as experienced advisor on programme related contractual matters
• Train Project teams to read and use the programme in the most effective way
• Set up and maintain Project Controls that allow to evaluate the project status and flag any potential challenge
• Handle multiple projects and submissions through organisation and eye for detail
