Job summary

Murphy is recruiting a Planner to join the Energy Team on the ETP Framework based in Aberthaw. You will prepare resourced programmes, support risk analysis, and coordinate with estimators and design engineers.

The role requires experience in Civil Engineering/Construction (water preferred) and proficiency with P6, TILOS, QSRA, and MS Project. A competitive package and career development are offered.

• Experience within Civil Engineering / Construction, preferably within Water
• Ability to use planning software (P6, TILOS, QSRA) and MS Project
• Active experience with planning techniques for tendering and contract delivery

Responsibilities

• Prepare a resourced programme, reviewing conformance with expectations and requirements
• Contribute to the risk register and undertake programme risk analysis
• Prepare visual material to aid planned methods
• Manage project documentation in an orderly fashion
• Provide a link between all parties regarding planning community information
• Define methods and outputs with estimators and the supply chain
• Liaise with design engineer to establish a design brief for temporary works
• Provide estimator with justified schedule of temporary works and indirect costs
• Advise project team of required feedback reports and support

A day in the life of a Murphy Planner

• - Prepare a resourced programme, including reviewing the outcome for conformance with expectations and requirements.
• - Contribute to the risk register and undertake programme risk analysis.
• - Prepare visual material in aid of planned methods.
• - Manage personally controlled project documentation in an orderly fashion.
• - Provide a link between all parties regarding the planning community information
• - Define methods and establish outputs, in consultation with the estimator and other team members, including the supply chain in appropriate circumstances.
• - Liaise with the design engineer to establish a design brief for temporary works.
• - Provide the estimator with a justified schedule of temporary works and other indirect cost items.
• - In consultation with Estimator advise project team of required feedback reports and support.

• - Experience within Civil Engineering / Construction preferably within Water but not essential
• - Use of planning software (P6, TILOS, QSRA).
• - Active experience of working with a wide range of planning techniques in serving both tendering and contract delivery.
• - Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Microsoft Project and P6
