Job summary

Schneider Electric in the United Kingdom is seeking a Tendering Engineer with a focus on frontend design, consulting and estimation to support strategic UK customers. You will develop designs, prepare cost estimates and coordinate with engineers, sales and subcontractors to build competitive offers.

You will present proposals to clients, participate in bid meetings and support negotiations, with a view to delivering accurate quotes and a smooth handover to operations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated related work experience in a similar role.
• Background with Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Ability to engage with Customers and Account Managers in workshops to draw out technical requirements.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design schemes and solutions based on requirements and client requests.
• Collaborate with engineers and sales in the BMS team for inputs on complex schemes.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors for panels quotes and installation quotes.
• Prepare cost estimates and secure internal approvals on costs.
• Engage with clients on site to understand requirements and build a quote.
