Job summary

Creative Support Ltd is seeking a motivated Supported Housing and Welfare Rights Officer to join the Housing and Welfare Rights Team in Stockport. You will manage a caseload of tenants, handling Housing Benefit claims, arrears and tenancy enforcement to help residents sustain their tenancies.

The role requires clear communication with clients, staff and partner agencies, plus travel across regions. A housing qualification is preferred, with willingness to obtain one if needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Housing Benefit system or willingness to qualify.
• Experience with tenancy management and welfare rights is desirable.
• Strong communication and liaison skills with clients and partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseload of tenants in supported accommodation.
• Handle Housing Benefit claims, arrears, and tenancy enforcement actions.
• Monitor voids and support tenants to maintain tenancies.
• Travel regionally as part of the role.
• Communicate clearly with clients, staff and partner agencies.
