Job Description Temporary Works Design Engineer We're looking for civil, structural and/or geotechnical engineers to join our team in various locations around the UK.
Locations: Birmingham / Bristol / Cambridge / Cardiff / Glasgow / Leeds / Liverpool / London / Manchester / Newcastle / Norwich / Plymouth - agile working, with up to 1-2 days per week from home if desired.
Hours: 40 hours per week - flexibility on hours available if desired.
Salary: Starting from £40k per annum.

Join us as a Temporary Works Design Engineer and become part of one of the UK's leaders in temporary works design and management and construction-related technical services. As part of our 100-strong team, you'll get to work on hundreds of projects across one of the most diverse and high-profile portfolios in the country, with access to Kier's £11bn+ project pipeline - supporting complex construction and major infrastructure schemes from concept, services, including some or all of: temporary works design and checking, reviewing permanent designs for compliance and buildability, supporting tenders and preconstruction planning, and providing technical support to overcome construction-stage and post-construction issues and defects.

Working towards Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer status (CEng or IEng) or of equivalent experience? Do you... Enjoy applying first principles thinking to real-world construction challenges, combining a keen eye for detail with sound engineering judgement, a focus on safety, buildability, sustainability and a flair for innovation and creative problem-solving? Have experience of temporary works design and/or management, or other practical construction experience?
