Job summary

Fellview Healthcare - NCPC is seeking a Temporary Practice Nurse to join the Copeland team in North Cumbria Primary Care for a 12-month maternity cover. You will support GPs and the primary care team, with negotiated hours for full- or part-time roles and a salary dependent on experience.

Responsibilities include routine nursing care, vaccines, well-person clinics, wound care, health promotion, and adherence to clinical protocols under supervision of senior staff.

Qualifications

• Essential: NMC Registration and knowledge of chronic disease management.
• Essential: Ability to deliver health promotion and patient education in primary care.
• Essential: Understanding of clinical governance and safeguarding in a nurse-led service.
• Desirable: Experience with chronic disease diplomas (Asthma, COPD, hypertension, diabetes or vascular management).

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform routine patient care tasks as directed by the lead nurse and GPs.
• Carry out vaccinations, health checks, and travel health advice as appropriate.
• Maintain infection control and ensure clean, safe treatment areas.
• Record patient information accurately and report any issues to senior staff.
