Job summary

Multitask Personnel are recruiting Meter Readers for Stockport and surrounding areas. This is a 16 weeks fixed-term contract with potential to go permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday. The role pays £13.45 per hour plus bonuses and mileage at 30.5p per mile.

You will visit homes and businesses to take meter readings, perform equipment checks, and record data via a mobile app while managing your own workload outdoors.

Multitask Personnel are working with a leading utilities provider to recruit Meter Readers in the Stockport area.

This is initially a 16 weeks fixed-term contract, with the potential for a permanent opportunity following the initial contract period.

The Role

• Visit homes and businesses to take accurate meter readings
• Carry out visual checks on metering equipment

About You

We are looking for reliable, customer-focused people who are comfortable working independently.

You will enjoy being out and about each day, be confident speaking with customers and be able to organise your own workload effectively.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• Access to your own vehicle for work
• Valid MOT where applicable
• Business insurance or willingness to obtain it
• Must live in Stockportor the surrounding SKpostcode area
• Able to pass a basic DBS check
• Able to provide 5 years of work references

Desirable Experience

• Customer service or field-based experience
• Using mobile apps or handheld devices
• Awareness of GDPR and confidentiality
• Experience managing your own workload
