Job summary

Multitask Personnel is recruiting Meter Readers for the Norwich area on a 16-week fixed-term contract with the potential to become permanent. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, outdoors, with mileage paid and bonuses available.

You will read meters at homes/businesses, manage your schedule, and interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner. Applicants must have a full UK driving licence (max 6 points), access to a vehicle, and be able to pass a basic DBS check with 5 years of

£13.45 per hour + bonuses + mileage (30.5p per mile)

Multitask Personnel are working with a leading utilities provider to recruit Meter Readers in the Norwich area.

This is initially a 16 weeks fixed-term contract, with the potential for a permanent opportunity following the initial contract period.

The Role

• Visit homes and businesses to take accurate meter readings
• Carry out visual checks on metering equipment
• Record information using a mobile app
• Manage your own schedule and workload
• Speak with customers in a friendly and professional manner

About You

We are looking for reliable, customer-focused people who are comfortable working independently.

You will enjoy being out and about each day, be confident speaking with customers and be able to organise your own workload effectively.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• Access to your own vehicle for work
• Valid MOT where applicable
• Business insurance or willingness to obtain it
• Must live in Norwich or the surrounding NR postcode area
• Able to pass a basic DBS check
• Able to provide 5 years of work references

Desirable Experience

• Customer service or field-based experience
• Using mobile apps or handheld devices
• Awareness of GDPR and confidentiality
• Experience managing your own workload
