Job summary

Multitask Personnel is recruiting Meter Readers for the Birmingham area. You will take accurate meter readings, perform visual checks, and record data via a mobile app while managing your own daily workload.

This is a 16-week fixed-term contract with potential to go permanent, offering full-time hours from Monday to Friday and a competitive hourly rate plus bonuses and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Own vehicle or access to one for work.
• Able to pass a basic DBS check.
• Ability to provide 5 years of work references.

£13.45 per hour + bonuses + mileage (30.5p per mile)

Multitask Personnel are working with a leading utilities provider to recruit Meter Readers in the Birmingham area.

This is initially a 16 week fixed-term contract, with the potential for a permanent opportunity following the initial contract period.

The Role

About You

We are looking for reliable, customer-focused people who are comfortable working independently.

You will enjoy being out and about each day, be confident speaking with customers and be able to organise your own workload effectively.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• Access to your own vehicle for work
• Valid MOT where applicable
• Business insurance or willingness to obtain it
• Must live in Birmingham or the surrounding B postcode area
• Able to pass a basic DBS check
• Able to provide 5 years of work references

Desirable Experience

• Customer service or field-based experience
• Using mobile apps or handheld devices
• Awareness of GDPR and confidentiality
• Experience managing your own workload
