Job summary

Multitask Personnel are recruiting Meter Readers in Romford for a 16-week fixed-term contract with potential to go permanent. You will visit homes and businesses to take meter readings, working full-time outdoors with autonomy over your daily workload.

You should have a full UK driving licence (max 6 points), access to your own vehicle, and be able to pass a DBS check. Mileage is paid and bonuses are available.

• Access to own vehicle for work.
• Ability to pass a basic DBS check.
• Provide 5 years of work references.

£13.45 per hour + bonuses + mileage (30.5p per mile)

Multitask Personnel are working with a leading utilities provider to recruit Meter Readers in the Romford area.

This is initially a 16 week fixed-term contract, with the potential for a permanent opportunity following the initial contract period.

The Role

About You

We are looking for reliable, customer-focused people who are comfortable working independently.

You will enjoy being out and about each day, be confident speaking with customers and be able to organise your own workload effectively.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• Access to your own vehicle for work
• Valid MOT where applicable
• Business insurance or willingness to obtain it
• Must live in Romford or the surrounding RM postcode area
• Able to pass a basic DBS check
• Able to provide 5 years of work references

Desirable Experience

• Customer service or field-based experience
• Using mobile apps or handheld devices
• Awareness of GDPR and confidentiality
• Experience managing your own workload
