Job summary

Multitask Personnel are recruiting Meter Readers for the Portsmouth area on a 16-week fixed-term contract, with potential to become permanent.

You will visit homes and businesses to take meter readings, perform visual checks, and record data via a mobile app, while managing your own daily schedule outdoors.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with ≤6 points.
• Own vehicle for work and access to it.
• Able to pass a basic DBS check and provide 5 years of references.

Meter Readers – Portsmouth

£13.45 per hour + bonuses + mileage (30.5p per mile)
16 weeks fixed-term contract with potential to become permanent

Multitask Personnel are working with a leading utilities provider to recruit Meter Readers in the Portsmouth area.

This is initially a 16 weeks fixed-term contract, with the potential for a permanent opportunity following the initial contract period.

The Role

About You

We are looking for reliable, customer-focused people who are comfortable working independently.

You will enjoy being out and about each day, be confident speaking with customers and be able to organise your own workload effectively.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• Access to your own vehicle for work
• Valid MOT where applicable
• Business insurance or willingness to obtain it
• Must live in Portsmouthor the surrounding POpostcode area
• Able to pass a basic DBS check
• Able to provide 5 years of work references

Desirable Experience

• Customer service or field-based experience
• Using mobile apps or handheld devices
• Awareness of GDPR and confidentiality
• Experience managing your own workload
