Triumph in Hinckley is offering a Global Logistics student placement for the 2027-2028 academic year. This 12-month industrial placement provides exposure to air, sea, road, and warehousing logistics, with responsibilities spanning provider management and project delivery.

You will join a dynamic team, develop skills across multiple logistics domains, and gain hands-on experience on complex projects within a leading British motorcycle company.

Qualifications

• Must be a current undergraduate student eligible for a 12-month industrial placement.
• Must be studying a related degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft packages.
• Excellent communication skills, with clear and concise written and verbal abilities.
• Self-motivated and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Provider Management: build relationships with third-party logistics providers and support KPI performance.
• Project Management: assist in delivering opportunities and translating ideas into project plans.
• Support day-to-day activities and collaborate with the freight team to gain operations knowledge.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and document processes and standards.

This is a unique opportunity for a student to develop and test a broad range of skills in a thriving environment. The global Logistics team is responsible for the management of all Triumph's logistics providers, covering air, sea, road, and warehousing. From day one you will become an active team member. The role covers numerous areas of Logistics providing a truly global overview of the business and allowing candidates to work on complex and exciting projects.

Duties And Responsibilities

Provider Management

• Creating a positive working relationship with third-party logistics companies.
• Supporting the achievement of performance and commercial KPIs.
• Driving continuous improvement.
• Defining, agreeing, and documenting required processes and standards.
• Supporting day-to-day activities.
• Working closely with the freight team to gain operational understanding.
• Ensuring regular meetings with SPLC’s are carried out.

Project Management

• Supporting the delivery of opportunities and translating ideas into a project plan to deliver benefit.
• Managing and driving projects to conclusions.
• Supporting wider Global Logistics projects.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Qualifications

• Must be a current undergraduate University student, eligible to undertake a temporary industrial placement for 12 months as part of their degree course.
• Must be studying for a related degree.
