Job summary

Triumph Motorcycles invites applications for a Temporary Industrial Placement in Procurement & Supply Chain in Hinckley. This placement year is open to current degree students for 2027/28. You will engage in supplier onboarding, contract reviews, market benchmarking, and stock/cash‑flow optimisation as part of a vibrant team.

Excel and cross‑functional collaboration are essential. The ideal candidate is studying a relevant degree, aiming for 2:2 or First Class Honours, with strong communication

Responsibilities

• Assist in onboarding and developing suppliers and defining commodity strategies.
• Support tender and nomination processes and align proposals with aims.

• Participate in new model development discussions with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Provide stock analysis to optimise inventory and cash flow.
• Assist with business data, budgeting analysis and savings opportunities.

This role is open to current degree students who are looking for a placement year in 2027/28 only.

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to embark on an exciting industrial placement within our Procurement & Supply Chain team.

This role is perfect for someone keen to build a career in procurement and supply chain management. You will be directly involved in various critical functions, including:

• Supplier Relationship Management & Negotiation: You will be responsible for onboarding and developing suppliers, helping to define commodity strategies and negotiating contracts in line with new model requirements.
• Contract Review: Support the tender and nomination processes while aligning supplier proposals with our strategic and operational aims.
• Competitor Benchmarking: Conduct market research and analysis to ensure our supply chain remains competitive and effective.
• Component Development: Participate in new model development discussions with suppliers and collaborate with project stakeholders.
• Stock Analysis: Optimise inventory and cash flow management to support business needs.
• Business Data & Budget Analysis: Track business cases against targets, addressing negative variances and identifying savings opportunities.
• Management Reports: Assist with board-level reporting and manage internal expectations across project stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should:

• Studying for a relevant design related degree relevant business, science, or engineering degree, and looking for a student placement in 2027/28.
• Applicants should be on track to achieve a 2:2 or First Class Honours Degree.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively across functions.
• You should be dynamic, adaptable, and thrive under pressure in an agile business setting.
• A self-motivated individual, you will display methodical time management and organisational skills.
• An active interest in procurement and supply chain management is a must.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Packages, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, is essential.
