Job summary

Triumph, the Original British Motorcycling Company, is seeking a Development Technician/Engineer to join the Test Cells Department. You will conduct development, durability and conformity tests on Triumph’s engine range, prepare and maintain test engines and equipment, and report results in line with testing schedules.

The role requires experience with testbeds and engine calibration tools, plus a background in automotive manufacturing or engineering.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating engine testbeds and calibration tools.
  • Background in automotive/manufacturing engineering environments.
  • Ability to manage own workload and ensure data quality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct engine tests including durability and performance development.
  • Prepare, install, and maintain engines and test cell equipment.
  • Analyze and report test results ensuring data quality.
  • Develop departmental procedures and support fault diagnosis.
  • Assist with projects and other duties as required.

We are seeking a Development Technician/Development Engineer to work within the Test Cells Department, responsible for the testing, development and validation of Triumph’s engine range.

As a Development Technician/Development Engineer you will be required to conduct development, durability and conformity tests to Triumph test procedures and in line with testing schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conducting engine tests including durability, calibration, performance, and mechanical development.
  • Prepare, install, and maintain engines and test cell equipment.
  • Analyse and report test results, ensuring data quality.
  • Develop departmental procedures and support fault diagnosis.
  • Assist with projects and other duties as required.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Previous experience with Testbed operation & usage of Engine calibration tools
  • Previous experience of working within an Automotive/Manufacturing/Engineering environment
  • Ability to manage own workload
  • Working to ensure that data quality standards are met
  • Attending pre-test meetings with key stakeholders
