Job summary

Triumph in Hinckley is offering a 12-month temporary industrial placement in Global Logistics for an undergraduate student. You will gain hands-on exposure to air, sea, road and warehousing operations within a global business.

Key duties include provider and project management support, documenting processes and driving improvements, with daily use of Microsoft Office and clear written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Must be a current undergraduate student eligible to undertake a 12-month industrial placement as part of their degree course.
• Must be studying for a related degree

Responsibilities

Temporary Industry Placement- Global Logistics

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Global Logistics student to join our innovative team in Hinckley. This is a unique opportunity for a student to develop and test a broad range of skills in a thriving environment. The global Logistics team is responsible for the management of all Triumphs logistics providers, this covers air, sea, road and warehousing. From day one you will become an active team member. The role covers numerous areas of Logistics providing a truly global overview of the business and allowing candidates to work on complex and exciting projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provider Management

• Creating a positive working relationship with third party logistics companies.
• Supporting the achievement of performance and commercial KPIs.
• Driving continuous improvement.
• Defining, agreeing and documenting required processes and standards.
• Supporting day to day activities.
• Working closely with the freight team to gain operational understanding.
• Ensuring regular meetings with SPLC's are carried out.

Project Management

• Supporting the delivery of opportunities and translating ideas into a project plan to deliver benefit.
• Managing and diving projects to conclusions
• Supporting wider Global Logistics projects.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications

• Must be a current undergraduate University student, eligible to undertake a temporary industrial placement for 12 months as part of their degree course.
• Must be studying for a related degree
• Proficient in Microsoft packages.
• Excellent communication skills, with clear and concise written and verbal skills.Self motivated and adaptable.
