Job summary

Rachel Hill Resourcing is recruiting a reliable Counterbalance FLT Operative for a temporary seasonal role in Leighton Buzzard. You will safely move goods around the warehouse and yard, loading/unloading vehicles and supporting goods-in and goods-out processes.

The role requires a valid Counterbalance FLT licence, prior experience, and a committed, punctual approach in a busy environment; hours are 7am–7pm or 10am–7pm, Monday to Friday, until Christmas.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Counterbalance FLT licence/certificate.
• Previous Counterbalance FLT experience.
• Warehouse/yard/logistics experience preferred.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to the assignment.
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles.
• Move and store stock around warehouse/yard.
• Support goods-in and goods-out operations.
• Load pallets and prepare goods for dispatch.
• Follow site health & safety procedures.
• Perform basic FLT checks and report issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Support wider warehouse team during busy period.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Counterbalance FLT Operative to join our client on a temporary seasonal basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods and materials around the warehouse and yard.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Moving and storing stock and materials around the warehouse/yard.
• Supporting goods-in and goods-out operations.
• Loading pallets and preparing goods for dispatch.
• Following all site health & safety procedures.
• Carrying out basic checks on the FLT and reporting any issues.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Supporting the wider warehouse team during the busy seasonal period.

Requirements

• MUST hold a valid Counterbalance FLT licence/certificate.
• Previous Counterbalance FLT experience.
• Previous warehouse, yard or logistics experience preferred.
• Must be reliable, punctual and committed to the full temporary assignment.
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a busy warehouse/yard environment.
