Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible Post Person with Driving. You will be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine while driving a Royal Mail van and occasionally working on foot.

Shifts vary and a driving assessment is required on joining. The role offers opportunities to stay active outdoors and play a vital part in community service through a flexible, temporary agreement.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• As a Post Person with Driving, you’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, ensuring letters and parcels are delivered come rain or shine.
• You’ll drive round your delivery area, completing parts of your route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring every item reaches its destination safely.
• You’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
