Job summary

Samsonite Oxford Street Store in London is seeking an Assistant Store Manager on a fixed-term contract (40 hours/week) for 3–6 months, with availability from August/September 2026. The role supports the Store Manager in driving sales, service, and store standards.

You will lead by example, ensure a positive working environment, manage stock, staffing, and day-to-day operations, and help deliver an exceptional customer experience in a premium retail setting.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience, preferably within a supervisory role.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 15kg, and use ladders.
• Computer literacy, able to use Microsoft Office and Teams.
• Sales-oriented mindset.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Passion for travel and brand sensibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and drive operational excellence, team performance and customer satisfaction.
• Assist in budgeting, KPI targets, and reporting; support Store Manager.
• Assist in stock management and pricing accuracy; minimize shrinkage.
• Assist in attracting and developing staff; scheduling within payroll budget.
• Ensure store policies are followed; cash handling and opening/closing duties.
• Maintain visual merchandising to Samsonite’s global standards; support promotions.
• Communicate clearly with the team and stay aware of market trends.
