Job summary

Source 4 in Feltham is recruiting an experienced Air Imports Clerk to join the logistics team on a temporary basis. You will manage air import shipments from arrival to delivery, ensuring accurate paperwork and compliance for time-critical pharmaceutical consignments.

You will liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, customs agents and customers, monitor progress, and resolve delays. The role requires CargoWise and Sequoia experience, strong organisation, and the ability to work flexibly to

Responsibilities

Location: Feltham, Job Type: Temporary, Working Hours: 10:00-19:00, Hourly Rate: £16.35

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Air Imports Clerk to join a logistics company based in Feltham on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with air freight import experience who is confident working in a fast-paced environment and understands the importance of accuracy, compliance and time-critical pharmaceutical shipments.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process air import shipments from arrival through to final delivery.
• Prepare and check import documentation, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and compliant.
• Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, customs agents, transport providers and customers.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any delays or operational issues.
• Ensure pharmaceutical shipments are handled in accordance with relevant procedures and temperature-control requirements where applicable.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems.
• Work closely with the wider operations team to ensure shipments are processed efficiently and within required timescales.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as an Air Imports Clerk within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• Experience using CargoWise and Sequoia is essential.
• Previous experience handling pharmaceutical shipments is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of air freight import processes and associated documentation.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
• A flexible approach to working hours, with the ability to stay until operational duties are completed.

Working Hours

The role has a 10:00am start, with finishing times dependent on operational requirements. Flexibility is essential, as some shipments may require the team to work later into the evening. Overtime is available.
