Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Work Placement Engagement Officer on a short-term basis for a college in Mansfield. You will build relationships with local employers to secure meaningful student placements and support SEND/LLDDD students throughout the placement process.

You will carry out checks, risk assessments and monitor progress to ensure safeguarding compliance and alignment with college targets. Immediate start is available.

Qualifications

• Experience in employer engagement and securing student placements in FE.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety procedures.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills with accurate record-keeping.
• Proactive and able to work independently and with college staff.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with local employers to secure meaningful placements.
• Coordinate work placements and align with study programmes.
• Support students with SEND/LLDDD during placements.
• Carry out placement checks and risk assessments where required.
• Monitor student progress to meet safeguarding and college expectations.
