Job summary

Mencap in Northampton is seeking an Employer Engagement Officer to join the Supported Internship programme on a full-time basis (37.5 hours/week). You will find high-quality work experience and paid opportunities for learners with SEND on the Supported Internship Programme, liaising with employers and the team to ensure success.

Qualifications

• An understanding of employment and education programmes.
• Ability to plan and manage your own workload.
• Ability to build professional relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience of engaging with employers.
• Experience of supporting people with learning disabilities.
• Strong communication, record keeping and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality support is given to each learner.
• Track each work placement and progress toward paid opportunities.
• Deliver learning disability awareness sessions to employers.
• Plan and coordinate Skills Coach in-work support hours to meet targets.
• Develop partnerships with multiple employers across sectors.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting; drive quality improvements.
• Collaborate with the wider team to meet learner needs.
