Job summary

Contract Scotland is seeking an organised Accounts Assistant to join the Stirling-based finance team on a temporary basis. The assignment runs for 3-6 months with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.

• Experience in an accounts or finance role with bookkeeping knowledge.
• Organised, proactive and able to meet deadlines.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail; good communication to manage queries.

Responsibilities

• Processing purchase invoices and managing supplier accounts.
• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies.
• Preparing month-end accruals and supporting month-end procedures.
• Processing sales invoices and maintaining accurate customer records.
• Reconciling customer accounts and monitoring outstanding receivables.
• Completing bank reconciliations and investigating variances.
• Assisting with internal and external audits.
• Responding to customer and supplier queries.
• Providing general accounts administration and supporting the wider finance team as required.
