Job summary

Escape Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a Finance Assistant to join a busy finance team in Scotland. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will handle a varied mix of transactional finance, accounts payable and administrative tasks to keep the finance function moving.

You should be organised, accurate and comfortable working with numbers, with previous experience in a finance, accounts or administrative environment. The role offers up to £32,000 per annum plus benefits, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance, accounts or administrative environment.
• Experience processing financial transactions and working with numerical information.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot routine discrepancies.
• Good communication skills and liaise with colleagues and suppliers.
• Willingness to get involved and help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and manage the approval process.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queries.
• Process employee expenses and bank postings.
• Support VAT and CIS returns.
• Apply financial coding and basic VAT treatment.
• Provide month-end support to Finance Manager and wider team.
• Manage Finance mailbox and post; respond to routine finance queries.
