Sharp Consultancy is partnering with a well established business in Huddersfield to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk on a temporary basis. The role supports a small finance team during a busy period and focuses on timely, accurate supplier payments and daily AP tasks.

Key duties include processing invoices, matching and coding, supplier reconciliations, and assisting with month-end activities. You should have solid AP experience and be immediately available or available at short

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable position.
• Ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
• Confident communicator with strong customer service skills.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software packages.
• Immediately available or available at short notice.

Responsabilités

• Processing a high volume of purchase invoices.
• Matching, batching and coding invoices.
• Reconciling supplier statements.
• Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries.
• Preparing payment runs.
• Processing credit notes and expenses.
• Maintaining accurate supplier records.
• Liaising with suppliers and internal departments.
• Supporting month-end activities as required.
• Providing general assistance to the finance team during a busy period.
