Job summary

Pertemps Maidstone are seeking a Handyman to join a busy manufacturing environment in Faversham, Kent, on a temporary assignment starting ASAP for about 4 weeks. Working hours are 08:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday; pay rate £14.97 per hour PAYE, paid weekly.

The role suits candidates with experience as a Handyman or related trades, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, building inspections, repairs to doors/windows, and supporting project work.

Qualifications

• Basic joinery and carpentry skills.
• Basic plastering skills for holes and wall damage repair.
• Basic domestic plumbing experience.
• Basic knowledge of using hand and electrical tools.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Complete routine building inspections and maintenance checks.
• Undertake general building repairs and maintenance work.
• Repair and maintain doors, windows and fixtures.
• Support emergency building repairs and seasonal project work.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs as needed.
