Job summary

Pertemps Maidstone is hiring a Handyman to support a busy site in Faversham, Kent. The role is a temporary assignment for about 4 weeks, starting ASAP. Typical hours are 08:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday, with a PAYE pay rate of £14.97 per hour.

The candidate will perform routine maintenance, basic joinery, plumbing and general repairs within a manufacturing environment. Immediate start, on-site work only.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic joinery, carpentry and general maintenance.
• Ability to perform plastering repairs and basic plumbing tasks.
• Familiar with using hand and electrical tools safely.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Complete routine building inspections and maintenance checks.
• Undertake general building repairs and maintenance work.
• Repair and maintain doors, windows and associated fixtures.
• Support emergency building repairs and seasonal project work.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and elevate issues where necessary.
