Job summary

Pertemps Maidstone is seeking a Handyman for a short-term assignment in Gillingham. Working 09:00–17:00, Monday to Sunday (weekend availability essential), from 09 August 2026 to 04 October 2026, with pay at £14.31 per hour PAYE, paid weekly.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across the site, maintaining safety, security, cleanliness and compliance, and undertake routine building repairs such as doors, windows, plumbing and plastering.

Qualifications

• Basic joinery and carpentry skills.
• Basic plastering skills, including repairing holes and wall damage.
• Basic domestic plumbing experience.
• Basic knowledge of using hand and electrical tools.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Complete routine building inspections and maintenance checks.
• Undertake general building repairs and maintenance work.
• Repair and maintain doors, windows and associated fixtures.
• Support emergency building repairs and seasonal project work.

The Facilities Team Member position in Gillingham, offered through Pertemps Maidstone, is a full-time temporary assignment running from 09 August 2026 to 04 October 2026.
