Job summary

Pertemps Maidstone is seeking a Handyman for a full-time, temporary assignment in Faversham, Kent. Working Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00, you will perform planned and reactive maintenance in a manufacturing environment and complete routine building inspections.

The role suits candidates with facilities, caretaking or general maintenance experience. Immediate start, able to manage own workload, roughly a 4-week contract with PAYE at £14.97 per hour.

Qualifications

• Basic joinery and carpentry skills.
• Basic plastering skills, including repairing holes and wall damage.
• Basic domestic plumbing experience.
• Basic knowledge of using hand and electrical tools.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Complete routine building inspections and maintenance checks.
• Undertake general building repairs and maintenance work.
• Repair and maintain doors, windows and associated fixtures.
• Support emergency building repairs and seasonal project work.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and escape issues where necessary.
