Job summary

GAUCHO in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an enthusiastic Barback to join the festive team for a fixed-term period. You will need energy, teamwork and a positive attitude to help deliver great guest experiences during a busy season.

As a Barback you will maintain high standards of cleanliness, prepare garnishes and mise en place, rotate stock, complete cleaning schedules, support bar staff, and ensure the bar is stocked before and during shifts to keep service flowing smoothly.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm and energy for busy festive shifts.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Available for seasonal fixed-term contract until 3 January 2027.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation behind the bar.
• Preparing garnishes, ice and bar mise en place as required.
• Stock rotation.
• To complete the daily/weekly cleaning schedule.
• Support bar staff at all times to ensure smooth flow of service and great guest experience.
• To ensure the bar is stocked prior to and during shift.
