Job summary

GAUCHO in Cardiff is seeking a Barback for a temporary, fixed-term contract over the festive period. You will bring enthusiasm and energy to the team and help ensure smooth service in a fast-paced bar environment.

Responsibilities include keeping the bar clean and well organised, preparing garnishes and mise en place, rotating stock, and supporting bar staff to deliver a great guest experience. This role runs through early January 2027.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm, energy and ability to work well within a team.
• Flexibility to cover busy festive periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation behind the bar.
• Preparing garnishes, ice and bar mise en place as required.
• Stock rotation
• To complete the daily/weekly cleaning schedule
• Support bar staff at all times to ensure smooth flow of service and great guest experience
• To ensure the bar is stocked prior to and during shift
