Job summary

GAUCHO in Birmingham is seeking a Barback for the festive period on a fixed-term contract until 3 January 2027. You will join a busy team, bring energy and enthusiasm, and help deliver great guest experiences behind the bar.

You will keep bars clean, prepare garnishes and mise en place, rotate stock, and support staff to ensure smooth service during peak periods. Previous bar experience is helpful but a positive attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced bar environment is preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team during busy service.
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation behind the bar.
• Prepare garnishes, ice and bar mise en place as required.
• Stock rotation and ensure bar is stocked before and during shifts.
• Support bar staff to ensure smooth service and guest experience.
• Complete daily/weekly cleaning schedule.
