Chef Results Limited is sourcing Relief Chefs to work across care homes in Leicester and surrounding areas. Flexible shifts and short-notice cover available.

You may be responsible for preparing nutritionally balanced meals and following property requirements. DBS checks and a current Food Safety Certificate are required or obtained.

Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK; transport is advantageous though not essential.

Qualifications

• Must have worked at least at Sous Chef level with strong cooking skills.
• Comfortable jumping between kitchen sections in fast-paced environments.
• Must hold or be willing to apply for a DBS and a current Food Safety Certificate.

Job description

Care Homes in Leicester and the surrounding areas are seeking Relief Chefs.

Flexible chefs who are able to work in a variety of properties sometimes at short notice. You may be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritionally balanced meals following the requirement of the property you will be working at.

Our care home contracts require Temp Chefs to have DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks in order to work in their kitchens. There is plenty of year round work available with these.

Requirements:

Chefs who have worked to at least Sous Chef level with excellent all round cooking skills capable of jumping on any section and used to working in fast paced kitchens with all fresh produce. All chefs must have or be willing to apply for a DBS, and a current Food Safety Certificate.

It is not essential to have your own transport but it is advantageous.

In line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Documented evidence of the eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.
