Job summary

Workforce Staffing Ltd is seeking an experienced Telesales Team Leader to manage a small team in Ilkeston. You will lead a group of approximately 8 Telesales Executives, providing daily coaching, performance monitoring and target delivery.

The role focuses on driving sales performance while delivering excellent customer service, with responsibilities spanning training, scheduling, and process improvements to support business growth.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in telesales and customer service.
• Experience leading and coaching a team in a contact centre or similar.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to identify sales opportunities and motivate a team.
• Experience with reports and analysing performance trends.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support a team of Telesales Executives.
• Communicate department goals, targets and expectations.
• Coach team through call monitoring, side-by-side sessions and 1-2-1s.
• Support recruitment, training, holiday planning and performance management.
• Monitor performance and drive improvements and opportunity for growth.
• Ensure readiness for customer calls and resolve queries and issues.
• Drive sales through incentives and identify missed opportunities.
• Support daily team huddles and open communication across the team.
• Implement new processes and train team on changes.

Telesales Team Leader
Ilkeston
£29,016 per annum Monday?Friday 8:30am?5:00pm 40 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Telesales Team Leader to join a well-established and growing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Telesales or Customer Service professional who enjoys leading a team, developing people and driving both sales performance and exceptional customer service. You'll take responsibility for a direct team of approximately 8 Telesales Executives, providing day-to-day leadership, coaching and support while ensuring individual and team targets are consistently achieved.

The Role

• As Telesales Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
• Leading, motivating and supporting a team of Telesales Executives
• Communicating departmental goals, targets and expectations
• Coaching/developing team members through call monitoring, side-by-side sessions, regular 1-2-1s
• Supporting recruitment, training, development, holiday planning, performance and absence management
• Monitoring team performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Ensuring the team is prepared for customer calls and able to proactively resolve customer queries, complaints and product issues
• Driving engagement with sales incentives and identifying missed sales opportunities
• Supporting daily team huddles and encouraging open communication and collaboration
• Implementing new processes and ensuring team members are fully trained on any changes

What We're Looking For

• The successful candidate will ideally have:
• A strong background in telesales and customer service
• Previous experience leading, coaching or developing a team
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
• A good understanding of sales techniques and the ability to identify sales opportunities
• Strong IT and administration skills
• A commercially focused and solutions-driven approach
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results
• Experience working with reports and identifying performance trends
• Previous Team Leader or supervisory experience within a contact centre, customer service or similar environment would be advantageous
