Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Southern in Crawley is hiring a Telehandler to support site operations and material handling. You will be on-site to transport materials, load and unload from vehicles, and ensure loads are secure while working with a reputable construction company in the Crawley area.

The candidate should hold a current CPCS Blue Card or NPORS CSCS card and have at least 2 years of Telehandler experience in similar environments.

Qualifications

• CPCS Blue Card (or NPORS CSCS) required.
• Minimum 2 years Telehandler experience on site.
• Site health & safety knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods from vehicles and transport materials on site.
• Move goods on pallets or crates to designated areas.
• Check loads are secure before movement.
• Stack empty pallets as required on site.
• Perform daily equipment checks and maintenance tasks.
• Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines.

Salary: GBP19 - GBP21 per hour

Do currently work in Construction? Are you a Telehandler currently looking for work? Do you hold a valid CPCS/NPORS CSCS card? If the answers are yes, we have roles opening with a reputable Construction company in the Crawley area.

The role:

As the Telehandler on site, you will be responsible for the following:

• Obtain copies of production schedule daily and transport materials to and from designated areas on site.
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks
• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates.
• Checking loads are secure.
• Stacking empty pallets
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment.
• Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines

About you:

• Working knowledge of site health & safety procedures would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Strong work ethic in a team.
• Be approachable and happy to work as a point of contact when working in a standalone position.

To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• You will need a current and valid CPCS (blue) card or NPORS CSCS experienced driver ticket.
• A minimum of 2 years+ experience operating a Telehandler in the same environment.
