Job summary

Fawkes & Reece on behalf of a reputable construction company in Burgess Hill is seeking an experienced Telehandler to join on-site for temporary full-time work.

You will transport materials, load/unload, check loads, stack pallets, and perform routine equipment checks. A current CPCS blue card or NPORS CSCS is required, with at least two years of Telehandler experience; knowledge of site safety is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current and valid CPCS (blue) card or NPORS CSCS experienced driver ticket.
• Minimum of 2 years+ experience operating a Telehandler in a construction environment.
• Working knowledge of site health & safety procedures would be an advantage but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to and from designated areas on site according to production schedules.
• Load and unload goods from vehicles such as trucks.
• Move goods packed on pallets or in crates and stack empty pallets.
• Check loads are secure before movement and operation.
• Perform daily equipment checks, including recharging the Telehandler battery and lubricating equipment.
• Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines.

The role:

As the Telehandler on site, you will be responsible for the following:

• Obtain copies of production schedule daily and transport materials to and from designated areas on site.
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks
• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates.
• Checking loads are secure.
• Stacking empty pallets
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment.
• Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines

About you:

• Working knowledge of site health & safety procedures would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Strong work ethic in a team.
• Be approachable and happy to work as a point of contact when working in a standalone position.
