Job summary

United Infrastructure Ltd. is seeking a Field Manager to lead a team of field engineers delivering planned maintenance and reactive telecoms services under the Genesis Maintenance contract.

The role is a hands-on leadership position with end-to-end accountability for delivery, safety, quality and wellbeing across their area in the United Kingdom. The Field Manager will own utilisation, productivity and customer delivery, removing barriers, coaching staff and driving continuous improvement in

Qualifications

• Experience leading field-based engineering teams in telecoms or critical infrastructure.
• Proven ability to drive performance improvements and coaching.
• Strong understanding of safety, risk management and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Take full managerial ownership of the team’s operational results and address performance promptly.
• Maintain regular contact with engineers via 1:1s, team briefings, field visits and reviews.
• Understand each engineer’s strengths, workload and development needs to boost performance.
• Manage employee relations including sickness, absence, wellbeing, capability and conduct.
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, inclusion and high standards.
• Plan and forecast resource requirements and balance workloads fairly across the area.
• Lead customer and internal stakeholders with clear, evidence-based updates.
• Oversee vehicles, tools and assets, ensuring safe, efficient delivery of work.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and succession planning for the team.
• Ensure incidents and safety concerns are reported, investigated and acted upon.
