Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to join a well-established engineering team on a 12-month contract. This is a hands-on role responsible for delivering planned preventive maintenance, reactive repairs, compliance activities, and supporting facilities across multiple UK sites.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Electrician qualification required or equivalent.
• Proven experience in facilities engineering or building services.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across multiple sites.
• Complete reactive maintenance and fault repairs.
• Conduct operational and safety audits.
• Coordinate and supervise specialist maintenance contractors on site.
• Maintain maintenance records and compliance documentation.
• Perform PAT testing and electrical safety checks.
• Support minor building fabric repairs and general maintenance tasks.
• Produce regular maintenance and compliance reports.
• Manage maintenance consumables and expenditure.
• Participate in an on-call rota.
