Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking a Field Manager to lead a team of field engineers delivering telecoms maintenance under the Genesis Maintenance contract. You will own utilisation, safety, quality and delivery across the area, with end-to-end accountability.

You will coach engineers, conduct 1:1s, manage performance, engage with customers and senior management, and ensure continuous improvement. The role requires travel across the area and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading field-based engineering teams in telecoms or critical infrastructure.
• Experience managing KPIs, utilisation, productivity and service delivery performance.
• Strong health and safety responsibilities, risk management and safe systems of work.
• Experience handling absence, wellbeing, capability, conduct and employee relations matters.
• Excellent planning, organisational and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take full managerial ownership of the team’s operational results, including both successes and failures, and ensure performance issues are identified and acted upon promptly.
• Maintain regular contact with engineers through one-to-ones, team briefings, field visits and performance reviews.
• Manage engineer utilisation and productivity and ensure work is allocated fairly and efficiently.
• Review quality results, audits and defects, implementing coaching and corrective actions.
• Build effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders and provide timely updates at reviews and governance forums.
