Placements24 is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Installation Technician to join their Randburg team. The role covers installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecom systems for residential and business clients, ensuring reliable connectivity and high-quality service.

The ideal candidate is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with experience in cabling, networking equipment, and fault diagnosis on site. Health and safety training is provided.

Formación

• Proven experience as a Telecommunications Installation Technician or similar role.
• Knowledge of cabling standards and networking protocols.
• Experience with network testing and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage time on job sites.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Responsabilidades

• Install, terminate, and test telecommunications cabling (fiber, copper).
• Set up and configure routers, switches, and modems.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues and diagnose faults.
• Ensure installations meet industry standards and client specs.
• Provide basic training to clients on installed equipment.
