Placements24 is recruiting a Telecoms Network Operations Manager for Randburg, to lead a 24/7 NOC and drive high-availability telecom services for a major provider. You will mentor engineers, optimize monitoring, and manage incidents while collaborating with engineering and product teams.

The role demands a Bachelor's in a tech field, 7+ years in telecom network operations, and at least 3 years in a leadership capacity. ITIL knowledge and strong stakeholder management are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in telecommunications network operations.
• At least 3 years in a management or team lead role.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP and OSPF.
• Experience running a 24/7 NOC.
• Excellent leadership and crisis management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of network operations engineers and technicians.
• Oversee 24/7 monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure high availability and SLA adherence.
• Develop and implement NOC procedures and best practices.
• Manage incident response and problem management.
• Collaborate with engineering, customer support, and product management.
• Oversee vendor relationships and contracts.
• Drive continuous improvement for network efficiency and security.
• Report performance metrics to senior management.
